The series centers around a mysterious event in 1963 that made 302 Alcatraz prisoners and guards vanish without any explanation. For some reason we don’t yet know, a prisoner named Jack Sylvane (Jeffrey Pierce) appears in present day Alcatraz and makes his way to San Francisco to seek payback from those who’ve done him wrong. It’s up to a spunky young police officer (Sarah Jones), assisted by a geeky Alcatraz expert (Jorge Garcia), to stop Sylvane, all the while dealing with a mysterious federal agent (Sam Neill) who clearly knows more about the Alcatraz disappearances than he lets on.

Premiered on CBS on September 24, 2007. this tv show quickly became a CBS’s highest-rated show in the adults between 18–49 years old. The Big Bang Theory is focused on five characters: Leonard Hofstadter (Johnny Galecki) who is an experimental physicist with an IQ of 173, his roomate Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons) – theoretical physicist focusing on quantum mechanics and string theory, he has a master’s degree and an IQ of 187; Howard Wolowitz (Simon Helberg) – an aerospace engineer who lives with his mother; Rajesh Koothrappali (Kunal Nayyar) – an astrophysicist originally from New Delhi, India; Penny (Kaley Cuoco) – a waitress who lives across the hall from Leonard and Sheldon. This tv show won 2 Emmy Awards and also a Golden Globe.
